As You Like It! Northern Broadsides

I had a bit of whirlwind experience being cast last minute as a cover for Celia in As You Like It with Northern Broadsides at The Stephen Joseph Theatre.

You never know whats round the corner in this industry and when I got the call that they needed someone in my hometown to step in for the week and jumped at the opportunity and shot up to Yorkshire. I know AYLI well from working on the RSC's production as an access assistant in 2019 and also know the Stephen Joseph Theatre space well too so I was very excited.

I managed to start rehearsing into the role but we then go the news that two more cast members had tested positive for covid so the run was unfortunately cancelled! I didn't get to go on but it was great to get to work with fab director Laurie Sansom on some Shakespeare. This job does like to keep us on our toes...
